Enterprise Architecture Assessment
Enterprise Architecture assessment
An Enterprise Architecture (EA) Assessment is an evaluation of an organization's current architecture and technology systems, processes, and practices. This assessment is aimed towards leaders of companies who want to fast-track their enterprise architecture efforts and quickly uncover (visualize & analyze) the state and structure of their organization, and how the key components interact.
The assessment covers aspects such as technology infrastructure, data management, application landscape, security, and governance. The outcome of the assessment is a report that provides an understanding of the current state of the EA, identifies any gaps or weaknesses, and provides recommendations for improving the overall EA maturity and alignment with business objectives.
In an Enterprise Architecture Assessment, a lead Enterprise Architect or team takes typical steps to get a view of the current state and identify business outcomes that require support. This includes evaluating the business model to determine opportunities for optimization, reviewing the customer journey and the capabilities required to deliver the experience end-to-end.
Also look at the current state perception of the capabilities based on interviews, outside-in analysis. Identifying any problems or limitations in the capabilities (People & Organization dimension, Process dimension, Information dimension, and Technology dimension).
