On 23 January, the ‘Pioneers in digital leadership’ conference was held in Brussels, an event organized by INNOCOM in collaboration with Febelfin, Agoria and the Singularity University. During this one-day meeting, several internationally renowned top speakers of the Singularity University focused on how leadership will influence exponential technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics and digital biology.

INNOCOM’s CEO Johan Van Looy has a passion for music and loves playing the guitar. Impressed by what he saw at live shows as a teenager, he took up the challenge of teaching himself to play. This led to him playing a couple of shows himself, an experience that has helped him in life and throughout his career: “Being on stage taught me how to share something with a group of people – not easy as I'm a bit of an introvert,” says Johan.

We are glad to announce the appointment of Johan Van Looy as our new CEO, effective as of 18 September 2017. Johan Van Looy has been with us for over 16 years and is widely respected for his management skills and experience in the sector. He succeeds founder Johan Cattersel, who will now apply his years of experience to the role of Executive Chairman. With its focus on maintaining and expanding INNOCOM’s long-term strategy, part of his responsibility will be to promote the company’s ambitious plans for international growth.
