Guests of honour Hod Lipson and VRT NWS

The keynote speaker at the event was Hod Lipson, a professor of Mechanical Engineering and Data Science at Columbia University in New York, and a co-author of several award-winning books. Hod Lipson’s work on self-aware and self-replicating robots, which has gained widespread media coverage, challenges conventional views of robotics. He has co-founded four companies and is a frequent keynoter at both industry and academic events.

During the morning session, Hod Lipson explained the importance of artificial intelligence and how it will transform our future. VRT NWS then seized the opportunity of interviewing Professor Lipson while he was in Belgium for our event. Read the article (in Dutch) and consult the VRT NWS video feed.
